Strange Wilderness Movie Review

Last night, on an impromptu date, the husband and I went to dinner and a movie with another couple. On the menu: Red Robin for drinks and snacks, then a walk across the parking lot to see Strange Wilderness with Steve Zahn, Alan Covert, Jonah Hill, Justin Long, Peter Dante, and other Happy Madison movie regulars.

This movie was hilarious. I laughed hysterically every time the main character had to do a voice over. The animal facts were fantastical. The video clips were early animal show clippy. The drug use was excessive. The story line was pretty much nil. The computer animation in this movie was childish.

Would I pay money to see it in the theatre again? Probably not. This is a movie that can be well enjoyed on any screen. For your money's worth, its something that can wait until its out on DVD or On Demand. I know I will buy it as soon as I can and add it to the collection (if you have been to our house, you know we are crazy dvd owners).

All in all, if you are looking to go see something that doesn't require a lot of brain power to follow, don't mind language or pot smoking, and love silliness, this is the movie you want to see.
